Administrator's Award for Excellence - US Small Business Administration
WMG, Inc. has been awarded the US Small Business Administration (SBA) "Administrator's Award for Excellence" for the year 2003. The Award of Excellence celebrates the company for its skilled workers, professionalism, and commitment to surpassing the client's expectations. The award was presented to the company at the SBA's National Entrepreneurial Conference and Expo in Washington, D.C. during September of 2003. This award distinguished WMG, Inc. as one of the top small business contractors in the New York/New Jersey area.
WMG was nominated for its outstanding work on the University of Virginia’s Research Reactor Decommissioning Project. Ralph Allen, Director of the Office of Environmental Health and Safety for the University and Chair of the Decommissioning Committee, said WMG’s work on the disposal of the reactor components was "viewed as the most challenging piece of our decommissioning project." He added, "That success was due in no small part to the dedicated efforts and excellent support enjoyed by our relationship with WMG staff on this project. The level of professionalism and commitment to performance of the work as safely as possible was exceptional."
