Regulatory Updates
FedEx Ground - Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials
Recently, we have fielded numerous inquiries regarding FedEx Ground hazardous materials shipment policies that will take effect Jan. 1, 2011 and how it will affect Radman users.

We have contacted FedEx for clarification and they have confirmed that the changes to the Declaration for Dangerous Goods policies defined in FX-18 does not apply to shipments containing class 7 radioactive materials.

To read the policy change letter, click on the link below and note the exceptions highlighted on page two of the statement which specifically declare that radioactive materials do not apply to the change in policy.

DOT interpretation on placarding exclusive use, bulk packages
As you may be aware, the DOT recently issued an interpretation on the way to placard exclusive use, bulk package shipments.

This interpretation will probably change the way you have placarded shipments in the past and may require you to change your procedures.
