WMG Engineers Recognized with "Superior Paper" Rating at WM2026

We’re proud to share that two of our nuclear engineers, Sean Kelly Jr. and Matthew Harper, have been recognized with a “Superior Paper” rating at the WM2026 Conference for their contribution to Paper number 26588: “Nudging the IAEA: Need for a Global generic WAC for LLW and ILW.” 

Out of more than 520 final submissions, only 67 papers received this distinction - an achievement that speaks to both the quality of the work and its impact on the future of radioactive waste management. 

This recognition highlights the importance of advancing practical, globally aligned approaches to waste acceptance criteria, and we’re excited to see this work help shape ongoing discussions in the industry.
